the world's lightest weight scanner.

Guinness World Records has certified Planon's DocuPen as the lightest A4 document scanner in the world and will feature it in the 2005 edition, scheduled to be on sale in September 2004. The Guinness World Records™ Book is the authority on record-breaking achievement around the world.

Planon introduces the new DocuPen R700 model which features rechargeable lithium ion batteris, dual roller
guiding system and optical registration.

Planon introduced several enhanced features to the popular DocuPen portable full-page scanner designed to
increase the scanning accuracy and eliminate the necessity of replacement coin batteries.

Planon's newest scanner, the DocuPen R700, includes a rechargeable feature that allows the DocuPen to
remain perpetually charged without utilizing a separate charging unit. Once a user plugs the DocuPen R700
into a computer's USB port to download the scanned information, the scanner's batteries are automatically
recharged.

The DocuPen R700 also features a dual-roller guiding system and optical registration technology to enhance
the user experience by creating a smoother scanning operation and a more accurate scan. The dual-roller
guiding system includes strategically placed rollers around the scanner lens to distribute operator's pressure
evenly for smooth and easy scans. Using optical registration technology, the DocuPen R700, can create
a highly accurate scan using its optical timing and registration system.

the Hardware and Peripheral categories.

While at RetailVision®, the retailers nominated Planon System Solutions Inc. for three awards, making Planon a
rare triple nominee. The DocuPen received a great response from everyone that attended that show. At the end
of the show, only 7 awards were given and Planon was nominated for Best New Technology and Best New Product
in the Hardware and Peripheral categories.
